New with this, heroin recovery, anyone out there?
I am 20 and just started the road to recovery, I am on day 10 and it seems to be getting a little easier each day. Its been the 10 days on the methadone program that is helping me very much. Is there anyone out there who I can talk to? Nobody really knows about my addiction other than one friend and my counslers, so I really do not have anyone to talk to who truly understands. I have a well paying job, and could always keep my habit a secret. I am struggling to live with all the guilt I feel.

Welcome! I'm a recovering alcoholic so don't know much about heroin, but I sure do know about guilt. I'm sure there will be others along who can give you more info and you might also check out the Substance Abuse forum on this board.

Hello DaphaB! Welcome to SoberRecovery! Im glad you found this place,and also condradulations on your 10 days.I was never into Heroin,so I cant say to much.My thing was cocaine.But,you will find all kinds in here.And Im sure someone with more answers will be along soon.Keep coming back and checking the site and im sure you will find some more support.

My name is Dee I am a recovering coke addict but my best friend as well as my BF are recovering heroin addicts so I do know alot about the subject..oh course I'm sure u wanna talk to people who have been on heroin but If you care to have some advice from someone of both sides of the tracks I'm always around.
