Weekender Thread 05 - 08 April 2019
Hi There
I'd like to welcome anyone new to SR and new to this thread.
Weekends can be a tough time -and that's what this thread is about - support.
We also share bits and pieces of our lives and the things that are important to us, or make us laugh..anything that makes the journey a little easier
If you've never jumped into a weekender thread before - no time like today...do it now!

Lovely morning here too which is a far cry from the serious winds and rain we had last night. Had lunch with an old colleague in Manchester yesterday as I had to go there to collect something for my new boss. Was nice catching up and did feel some pangs of longing of missing working in the city. Looking through rose coloured glasses though me thinks lol.
Anyhow, hope everyone is well and ready for another sober weekend! x

I have some more family coming from out of town to visit my Mom (and me). So, tomorrow will be a day of hanging out with them and catching up some on how things are going here and for them. It should be a nice time. Sunday will be rest day ahead of a hectic week. Whatever your plans may be, make them sober.
temps 10 degrees warmer than yesterday- with a thick cloud of dust covering the state fueled by a dry north wind....back to Autumn tomorrow
2114 Friday- keep posting gentle souls.. way better than stressing

Happy Friday. It's an amazing change going from thinking I need alcohol to enjoy the weekend to looking forward with such enthusiasm to a sober weekend. Sober is the way I get value out of my time and truly re-energize for the busy week ahead. And the best way to handle a busy week? Yup, sober. Don't miss things, don't stress (much), don't forget stuff - ok, not as much I use to but when reminded I don't have to prentend I remember.
Ukulele Class tomorrow (yay!) and taking the fam out to dinner (Naturally, I'm the DD and wouldn't have it any other way!)
