Day 7

Feeling good and getting back into the swing of things. I finally went to a meeting earlier tonight with my sponsor. Probably go again tomorrow too. I actually needed one as when things start happening negatively then comes the negative thinking. I called him and told him I'll be joining him tonight and that quelled the cravings right then and there. My goal is a year, and I know its 1 day at a time. I've just been so close before then I got a case of the F-its. Long talk with my sponsor after the meeting too, and he planted some good things for me to focus on.

Back to work tomorrow which I'm happy to say that as things couldve easily gone the opposite way for me in that department.

Thanks everyone!

Thanks Dee. I know what I need to do. Like you said "pick a side". I cant live that life of hell anymore. I picture myself in that jail cell for 23 hrs a day like it was. Terrible food etc...freedom lost can wear on the soul, and that was only a few days for me. The fact my family is still here, and I'm not in jail again from the last time I got pulled over tells me a lot. I'm running out of chances to get my act together.

I just need to do it. Its been a long enough battle!

Good job on the 7 days and being proactive in your recovery. It is worth the work.
