I am new to this but my AB has been sober going on 3years. Which is something I am very proud of, but as of the past year he has been distant, and cold. Someone I completely dont recognize. He is acting way worse than when he was drinking. And I feel I no longer know him anymore. He went cold Turkey in April 2016. He doesnt attend AA. He swears he has no desire to drink. But he is so emotionless. I heard the term dry drunk. Will this last for a long time? Will he come in and out of these episodes?

Maybe this isn't anything to do with alcohol or becoming sober. 3 years is a long time. Maybe it is something else. Talking with him will hopefully give you the answers you need.

I know that feeling when I want to drink but I can't and everything is irritating and annoying. The only relief I get is if I'm part of a sober community. I've heard people say that it helps to go to Al-Anon if your partner is an alcoholic. Have you thought of that? Hang in there. The struggle is real.
