Weekender Thread 1-4 March 2019

Hi There

I'd like to welcome anyone new to SR and new to this thread.

Weekends can be a tough time -and that's what this thread is about - support.

We also share bits and pieces of our lives and the things that are important to us, or make us laugh..anything that makes the journey a little easier

If you've never jumped into a weekender thread before - no time like today...do it now!

Morning Lovely Weekenders! I’m in too x

It’s the end of my first week and all has been good. I am not tired anymore as not getting up at 5:30am, have plenty of time for breakfast and exercise and making a healthy dinner to take with me in the morning. I am home, fed and showered and changed by 6pm everyday so have really enjoyed having an actual evening again. I have also hit one of my weight loss goals this morning and it’s a biggie and quite meaningful one so couldn’t be happier.

Here’s to another sober weekend people! xx

IN!

Welcome to Weekenders b0glerd69!

If you're new to recovery you might well be approaching the weekend with some sense of dread but it doesn't have to be like that and after a few sober weekends the feeling of having your own time free of hangovers and regret is like receiving a get out of jail card.

HAPPY FIRST DAY OF SPRING!

I wish it was the first day of spring... I'm sick of cold and snow and rain... I want to take Billie for walks in the sunshine...

Morning, weekenders.

Congrats on the first day of spring, even if it doesn't feel like spring yet. Eventually it will come.

Manta - That is amazing about hitting weight loss goal. I've been stuck with mine for a while. You inspire me to push through.

See you)

Love the pics, saou and Vinni, didn’t realise it was the first day of spring! I’ll be looking out for the March Hare, I just love to watch him crisscrossing over the fields. Lovely.

Well done Manta! That’s great!
First day of autumn here but it still feels like summer, it’s been a really long hot sticky summer this year, heat and humidity and rain. But it’s starting to cool off in the evenings which is lovely. I was getting a bit over trying to sleep in 28C - 30C when the power went off (which it does quite a lot where I live) so the aircon won’t run....

Haha actually I just checked the temperature and it’s 27C right now. At 7.30pm , perhaps it just feels cooler now that it’s not summer anymore
But the ceiling fan is working as the power is on so maybe that’s it

Happy Friday night everyone!
It’s a great weekend to be sober

Spring doesn't officially start until March 20. Which is good as it's heading back to temps in the 20s this week, here.
