Hi everyone, I知 here as on day two of sobriety after struggling with a couple of relapses. Work and life in general prevents me from going to an A.A. meeting every day, so hoping to find some inspiration here. I致e been on this journey before and know it値l get harder before it gets easier! Anyway...hello and good morning. I知 grateful to be alive!
Great to have you here! And welcome. You'll find a lot of support and wisdom here.
I'm grateful to be alive, too. When, all things considered, I really shouldn't be alive.
But I came out the other, sober end so I'm making the most of it.
I wish the same for you.

Thank you everyone. Ooo it痴 hard, but I知 finding this forum fascinating and really helpful already. So great to know I知 not alone in battling this, and that we all have slip ups but recovery is still possible
Welcome to the family. Sobriety is not only possible, it's wonderful. I got sober over 9 yrs ago and don't regret a minute of it.
Hope our support can help you stay sober for good.

Hi Meddles and welcome to the SR community.
I too am (exceedingly) grateful to be alive.
I cannot think of any reason to drink now, and my life is much less complicated for it.
In the newcomer's forums- there are many different threads- and across the boards a great diversity of stuff to learn and be involved with. I use meetings and health pro's (GP/psychologist) to heal- but by fay the most useful, convenient and supportive mechanism I have to keeping up a strong recovery is SR. Others can pick up on stuff I am going through by the changes in my word- which is also an excellent way of reflecting, like jurnaling (which I do as well)
I use SR daily- progressively, as daily support is a vital ingredient to my continuing successful recovery. One old timer at a meeting likened daily support to recharging our sober battery. It only stays charged if we actively top it up....
Support to you.
