Still feeling off

Even though I’m on day 10 (yay), I’m still feeling sub par physically. Sleep has been getting incrementally better but still not great. Kind of fuzzy headed and some stomach issues still. Seems like recovery times get longer with age to the point that recovery time is 2-3x longer than the binge itself. Anyone relate?

Oh yeah, I can relate. It even has a name, kindling.
Which basically means, the longer we drink and recover, the worse the hangovers get.
I sure experienced it.
Just remember, you never have to go through it again.
Congratulations on your ten days. And I hope things clear up for you.

So bad, in fact, that people keep drinking than face it.

If you don't want to reach that point, find a way to quit and stay quit. As ghostlight said, you don't have to ever go through this again.

Right you are and that's what I did. For ten years.
It is, indeed, a vicious cycle.

Great advice here Pinnacle.

Keep moving forward and you'll never have to feel this way again

I, too, found that each time I tried to stop drinking, it was worse than the previous time. It's hard on our body, mind and spirit. Day 10 is fantastic and remember you don't have to go through this again.

Congrats on 10 days, that is a big deal.

And yes, 100 percent, I can relate. The symptoms are terrible, I wouldn’t wish them on my worst enemy (if I had a worst enemy).

Picture the symptoms are your body purging the poison from your system and finally healing itself, because that’s exactly what it is! And if you’re having any health anxiety at all, check in with a doctor both for peace of mind and to aid your recovery. (At least, that is my advice).

Yes, I found withdrawal got worse each time I drank again. But if you stay sober, it gets better.
