Celebrating Valentine's Day
I am single. Which is ok, I want to be at this point in my life. Valentine's Day is special for me though. Today I am 1,5 years sober.
And today I celebrate Love. I celebrate my love for living sober. I really do love it, it is a wonderful relationship!
No matter how long you're sober today, celebrate with me! Love life sober! Oh, and not just today ofcourse. Every day!
And if you still have to quit, do it now. Wouldn't it be wonderful to give yourself the gift of loving life sober today? Maybe you'll have to learn to love it, but you can. Starting now.

Hello Ben,
Congrats on your sober time!
Today is the first valentines day in 7 years that I've actually been in a relationship. My partner is working the night shift tonight so we can't be together. A few days ago I left a bunch of flowers in a vase, some breakfast pastries, a can of her favourite energy drink and a valentines card on the breakfast table for when she got in from work. Then I texted her and told her to check the kitchen before she came upstairs to bed. I also got her a little teddy bear that has my nickname for her and a message printed on its t-shirt.
She didn't realise I was so romantic and she's treating me to an all-you-can-eat roast dinner at a restaurant this Sunday. Nomnomnomnom.
Love is a wonderful thing, in all its forms. I was in Thailand over the festive season and my partner and I were in a 7/11 convenience store having a little cuddle and kiss in the queue. This guy came up to us, obviously a bit worse for wear, and just said 'Ah man, love, you know, it's beautiful, just this, you're beautiful guys'. I couldn't disagree with the guy.

Without continuous recovery/sobriety in
my life, I wouldn't have anything to be extremely
grateful for.
On this date 10 yrs ago, my now husband
and I rode our Harley to the Justice of the
Peace where we both exchanged vows before
heading out to get our first tattoos.
Today I went for my last tattoo of a cluster
of vibrant butterflies and the words Strength
and Journey on my leg before returning
home for cake and ice cream on this special
day.
