5 weeks today
Just realized it has been 5 weeks today. I really don't count each and every day sober but I am aware they are adding up. This has been such a wonderful change in my life. I am at peace with the fact that I no longer am drinking which is a first for me. I have always felt like I was missing out by being sober but I truly believe letting go of alcohol is the most awesome thing I can do for myself right now. Life has a new hope and peace that is truly rewarding for my soul. I encourage anyone struggling or thinking about quitting to just give it your full effort so you too may experience joy and freedom from despair. I feel like I have slayed the beast. If I can do it you can to.

Wooohoooo! Great job! I still feel the need to count my days. It might be simply because I've always been a man of routine. I wake up, eat breakfast, drive to the office, sit down, make a mark on my sticky note for 1 more day sober. I hope one day I don't feel the need to keep track, but for now, it helps. Day 167 for me. Cheers!
I love reading these positive posts! Great job on 5 weeks!
Sometimes I need reminding how great sobriety is. It's just become the new normal for me at 4+ years. That's a good thing, don't get me wrong, but I like being reminded by posts like yours what a victory it really is, and how much better life is in general.
