Couch potato and The Blahs

No cravings today, and no drinking today—thankfully BUT I have barely left the couch today, watched more tv than I ever have, eaten all sorts of junk and feel tired.

A little over 30 days and I feel totally blah—it’s not very motivating. Anyone familiar?

Hoping to get thru today and tomorrow will be better.

Definitely normal. It’s ok to just rest when your body feels tired. I spent many early days lounging on the couch watching Netflix and pigging out. Congratulations on 30 days

I still have days like this from time-time. I also had days like this before my drinking took control for a while. Nothing wrong with chilling on the couch every now and then. After a beautiful week,it's rainy/windy where i'm at and I had wanted to go to the store, but not sure if I will now. May just order delivery and go to the store in the morning...then I don't have to clean up either.

I’ve been there and I think it’s ok. Self care, in whatever form that takes, is essential and sometimes a day of doing nothing is what’s needed. Rest, relax, and heal.

I used to get upset with myself when I was in the mood you are in. I couldn't think of any reason to feel that way, so I'd get mad at myself. After a while I realized its just something I need to accept and go with it. Today, I give myself permission to feel this way for a while. After a few days, I make myself get up and do little things to get moving. Eventually I will get back to my normal self. Still don't know why this happens, but I've learned to accept it, deal with it, then move on. Have a good, relaxing day. John

Thanks all. I’m just not used to this but maybe I should just embrace it and see it as part of the healing process.

I've been feeling the same way! Haven't worked out in forever and eating crap food. Hoping to snap out of this soon....I went for a walk this morning so I guess that's a good start.

It's okay to have a day like that, we all do. I have found that getting outdoors and going for even a short walk is often enough to snap me out of things. There is something about nature that can change moods.
