Accountability thread - tinkerb

I hope no one minds me doing this, i need to try something new and hoping logging in here everyday will help me to be accountable and track my progress.

Well im through day 1, its been a hard day very sad to be back starting over, and feel exhausted but hopeful that i can beat this.

Only one place to start Tinkerbeau, & that's at the start. Well done on getting through Day 1. I have it on good authority that Day 2 is even better & can't wait to welcome you. Take care

Well done tinkerbeau.
Today seems to be better than yesterday.
That’s called progress.
You’re headed in the right direction

Another early night at end of day 3, but writing in my sober journal and will read some of the naked mind. The thoughts of a drink have definitely been creeping back in today though i feel more aware that it is just my stupid craving bit of brain and feel more powerful to ignore it, hope i can stay powerful.

I also went back to day 1, I get exactly how you are feeling. I also feel exhausted but positive. Just wanted to let you know that your not alone mate. We are in this together. Much love to you 🙏💖

Congratulations on day 3 TB. I've just recently stopped too (day 24) and I could only do it by focusing on 24 hours at a time. The first two weeks (with withdrawal symptoms and urges) were the hardest. But, even with just three weeks, it was so worth it ride those first few days out. I feel infinitely better. Hang in there. And post as much as you need and want.

Thanks everyone for the support it really keeps me focused. Thursday can often be a trigger day for me as voice in head says 'nearly the weekend' etc, but made it through and looking forward to day 5 tomorrow.

Well ive made it through day 5 though the cravings were bad a few times also hadn't helped myself by reaching out to an ex of a couple of years back, but having no response. I know it was a silly thing to do as should only be thinking of me, just he was nice and i messed it up probably down to my drinking and wanted to apologise and thought he would be good for me. Anyway never mind he no doubt moved on, at least i have said sorry for mistakes. Looking forward to waking up hangover free for a change on a saturday.

Maybe just work on staying stopped and wait until you are sober to make those decisions to apologize. I know I've said "I'm sorry" way too many times so that "apology" didn't cut it!

Stay stopped, let time have time and then make those serious decisions.

5 days is fantastic, but maybe get a year and five days???
