Hi Bill. Have you planned how to get through the inevitable times when you really want a drink? Often predictable, like certain hours of the day, or when you're hungry etc.
I found planning to eat, distract, destress, a key to success, along with the readiness to stop, which you have now.

if you scroll down all the way to the bottom left hand side there's a drop down 'skins' menu - you can change to mobile view there

That's great news!

One thing that helped me, probably the very most of all, was shifting from "ready to stop" to "ready to start"....

"start embracing sobriety".

May not be for everyone, but for ME.... thinking about it all in the positive was a game-changer.

I'm not giving up drinking - I'm embracing sobriety (so I don't drink)!
I'm not limiting myself - I'm opening myself to the infinite possibilities of life beyond drinking!
I'm not 'missing out' - I'm becoming present, aware and engaged!
I'm not 'quitting' - I'm beginning the greatest journey of my life!

All the best to you... you can do this!

Hi Bill,
My Day 1 was on Dec 30th too. How are you doing? Is it your day 5 too? I found yesterday to be rough, day 4 was just a physical and mental beat down. I'm hoping to see some more of us on the other side of the detox hill. Wishing you the best.
