Thanksgiving night one?
Hi, I'm new. I have spent the last 4 years, well, if I'm really honest, the last 10 years, waiting for the perfect day to stop drinking--it never comes. I just spent some time reading about AVRT, and I realize that it has to be now. Oh, wait, it's Thanksgiving. It will be way too hard--AV talking. It can't be that way anymore. Does not matter what day it is. Luckily, my family gathering is not too boozy--it is just me, after, on the way home I'll get a bottle + of wine. That's my thing, wine. Used to be beer. Used to be gin. Guess I just rotate the poison. You might here from me later if I need to talk.
Thanks for listening,
Walter

Thanks for the welcome and support. I just got back in from running some errands, and the AV was starting its games. But I can't react to that. Our Thanksgiving dinner starts in about an hour. Coming straight home after. If things get sketchy later, I'll come here, not the store. Thanks again for the support.

Good going, WalterYounger. This sobriety thing is very doable once you put your mind to it. Put that poison in the rear view mirror where it belongs. SR is always here when you need a little help too, great having you here.
