Day 2 after hitting Rock Bottom
Day 2 after hitting Rock Bottom
I'm not looking for pity as I have been down this road plenty of times, but a few people probably remember me. I got my license back and started a great job, but I lost my mother four months ago, and that cause me to spiral out of control with alcohol. I did a year dry and wanted that again, so I'm here. I'm seeking therapy, going to the doctor on Friday and will post here on and off as it worked for me in the past. Thank you and sorry for those I disappointed.
Hi Ghostface. I am new here since you joined. Don’t be too hard on yourself. You went through a rough time. I’m sorry about the death of your mom. I had a previous relapse after six months of sobriety when I lost a close cousin to cancer. As much as I justified it at the time, afterwards I realized that nothing was accomplished by drinking during that time and no matter how tough things get, I will never find an excuse to drink again. Because it just makes an already bad situation worse. It has been a struggle at times, but I feel stronger through every crisis as I remain sober.
I’m glad you are back. You’ve done this before and you can do it again!

Thank you all, I greatly appreciate it. Im going to the Doctor on Friday and waiting on my therapist to book an appointment. I also need to do a sobriety plan and stick to it this time. I’m very anxious at the moment but I know it will subside.
Welcome back, GhostFace. You have made my day by posting!!,!
I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your dear mother. It is so very difficult to lose a parent. I pray that you find comfort.
I am sorry to hear that you have been struggling. We are here for you, always.
Have you considered. Joining the Class of November, 2018? It could be very helpful.
I will link Dee{s thread on Plans in a moment.
