Im away for my few days of walking and relaxing with my dog Jack. AH was very caring before l left, helped me load the car, waved me off wishing me a good time...l was to let him know when l got here safely.
now...bear in mind he normally stays up until at least midnight when lm home...tonight l text to say goodnight at 11.25pm..no response. My neighbour checked and the house was in darkness...l guess the 'nightcap' was taken much earlier this evening 🤔 maybe around 7.30 (seeing as l left at 7pm)

my guess is he is p***ed and too oblivious to even text goodnight. Anyway tomorrow is another day...fresh air..freedom..fun..all to be had with my four legged friend ☺👍🐶

I slept like a log...and woke up to find the weather is on my side today...beautiful sunrise and the colours of autumn are stunning. Walking boots at the ready...bring on the countryside!

Awal...are you familiar with James Hariott….a veterinarian, in Northern England?
He wrote many books, and described the countryside.....
Your posts about walking in the countryside, remind me of him and his books....which I dearly loved....

Ah yes James Herriot the famous Yorkshire vet who practiced in a place called Thirsk. Yorkshire is similar to Derbyshire (where l am now) with rolling hills and dales, clear rivers and beautiful scenery.
l wish l could show photographs...you would understand how therapeutic it is. My beautiful Border Collie is the best companion..but he is getting older now (11 years) and we can't do the very long walks we used to do...6 miles is about our limit now. I really dont think too much about whats happening at home when lm here. 😊

Heard from AH today, seems he had a 'nasty turn' in the shower this morning...feel dizzy and faint. Maybe should've taken more water with it last night 😉
Another beautiful day here...so peaceful and relaxing. Makes going to work worth it!!!
