Feeling alive for the first time ever
Hi all I'm 295 days sober today ..my life has changed so much in every way ..I feel alive in every aspect of my life ..I to struggled in the beginning I cried I vented I wanted nothing more than to pick up that bottle of wine and run for the hills ...I'm so glad I never did ..when they said it gets better I never believed any of it how could I?? I was addicted to wine an I could no longer have any ....
please please if your struggling this honestly does get way better than better ...I no longer suffer from depression and my anxiety has dropped ten fold
I live each day as it comes knowing I'm being the best person / mum / friend I can possibly be
I fought so very hard to be where I am today I done whatever it took to stay sober and it's a battle that is well worth the fight my dear friends ..
I joined this forum on the 1st of January this year I'd sunk to my lowest point ...It's been my saving grace even though I don't post often enough not a day goes by that I don't log on ... I finally found my soul mate and it was me all along

And I love the soul mate line - to finally take care of ourselves as if we were someone who deserves to be taken care of is the greatest gift that we can do for that self, and thereby for the rest of our world. Terrific post. Massive congratulations. Thank you for sharing.
