Drunk again
Yes, you can do it. It took many of us several tries before it really stuck. Failure is not falling, failure is not getting back up and trying again. What is your plan? What kind of support do you have? What can you do differently this time?

But you CAN do this! You’re HERE for a start! That’s a great first step...you have the ability and strength within yourself. Just don’t drink anymore and stop now if you have access to alcohol. Well done for posting and stay with us. X
You're quite capable of staying sober, you just haven't found the exact way to keep it going yet, the way that works for you. Keep trying and you will. Right now the important thing is to get back on track as fast as possible, don't let this setback fester and blossom into month/years of poison.
Pinnacle you can do this.
I am doing this over again. I have been on this cycle quite a bit. One time I had 3 years, then 6 months and recently 5 months and as of today, 2 days. Yes I am pissed at myself.
I am stubborn cause I was told I had an ultimatum or this would happen. I know better not to do it for someone else. I resented him cause he continued his actions. This is why I am 2 days sober. I am picking myself back up. Went to 2 meetings cause I want a different outcome. I am ready to face the fact that I can not handle drinking like a normal person.
Just keep coming here, post if you need, and reach out to people who will support you.

I believe you can do it too Pinnacle
Look at what your recovery plan is - all the things you do to stay sober.
In one way or another it's letting you down so fixing it is a good starting point
Maybe you need to make more changes in your life or find more support - but its definitely not beyond you to stay sober

The opposite of addiction is connection.

Thanks all
You’re awesome as always. I’m just a drunk who can’t get out of orbit. I’ve been a writer, a traveler and a messenger for the environment in my life. I’ve felt love but love wasn’t returned (I’m gay).
But yes, I can do this, I won’t give up. Not for me, I’m just one guy, but for all those I can help in their suffering.

Addiction doesn't care what person it attacks. It
doesn't pick or choose which one it prefers. I along
with many other caring, supportive, understanding
folks here in SR keep an open mind and work together
in listening, learning, absorbing and applying new,
helpful, healthy ways to get sober, stay sober and
remain sober one day at a time.
It is important to distance yourself away
from reaching, driving, buying any forms
of alcohol or a controlling substance. For
many of us to remain sober especially in
early recovery to stay away from it. Period.
Have you thought about entering a rehab
facility? Some of us have been including myself
where I spent 28 days allowing those toxins
to leave my body and receive some knowledge
about substance abuse and it's affects on my
own body, then given a program to incorporate
in all my affairs as a guideline to achieving a strong
solid foundation to live upon moving forward.
None of us ever has to go thru this process
of learning how to stay sober by ourselves
or alone.
None of us are failures. We have been sick
in our addiction and until we learn how to
get out of it, it will continue to keep us sick.
Rehab is just one option to receiving the help
needed. Others who have learned how to remain
sober here in SR often share their own experiences,
strengths and hopes to us guiding us, supporting
us each day.
Ask questions, seek or follow helpful suggestions
and remove all alcohol or controlling substance
away from you as you put your last drink of poison
behind you and begin learning how to build your
recovery foundation one step at a time moving
forward.
All positive affirmations sent your way.

Hi Pinnacle!
I'm glad to see that you are still on-line. There's no reason you can't take some concrete steps towards sobriety even though you are drinking now. How about calling a detox center or AA?
