Extremely tired on Day 5

Good morning all! Had an early sober night. Slept pretty good too. Could barely get up and ready for work. I guess this is my body adjusting?
Had a nice dinner with my guy last night. He didn’t question my not ordering multiple wines at dinner.
Most will order a glass and not even completely finish it. I was always done with glass one before the food arrived and looking to hunt down the waiter for more. When I think of it now, sober, it’s embarrassing. Wow.
Happy Sober Hump Day all! Stay strong! 💪🏻

Congratulations on day five. Your tiredness may last for quite some time (when I got sober I was very tired for about six weeks), so don't give up even though you may think you'll never feel fresh again.

Then again, maybe you get your energy back much faster than I did.

I realized a lot of embarrassing moments, too. Recovery sure has a way of opening our eyes.

I'm glad to hear you're on Day 5 and I think you will soon begin to feel better.

citigirl - I've always thought it really unfair that when we give up alcohol we start by feeling really crap rather than full of energy and joy.

Hang in there! I think you'll be so glad to be starting your job sober, full of energy or not.

On Day 5 here too. Sleep is fits and starts, lots of waking up but lots of crazy dreams too. I'm tired too, but I'll take sober and tired rather than hungover and tired any day! Keep it going...

Thank you all for your words of encouragement!
I just realized a world of tasty ethnic cuisine in small mom and pop shops is not off the menu anymore due to lack of alcohol being served! It’s the little things sometimes that really wow me.
