Day off struggling.

Don't have work to stop me drinking.

All i can think about is drinking. And stopping tomorrow again.

Head is pounding

Yesterday you promised yourself a chill out day, not a drinking day. Remember your commitment. Stay strong, stay close to SR. Cravings pass.

Just think how proud you’ll be of yourself tomorrow when you don’t drink today. It will get easier and easier as time goes by. Find something different to do. Something you’ve always wanted to try but couldn’t because you were too busy drinking.

It gets better. Have you seen and read the post on Urge Surfing? It's a great technique for the early days. Just search for it.

When feeling like this you always have to fast forward and ask yourself if it's worth giving into the cravings when it results in feeling all that anxiety and guilt the following day.

It will DEFINITELY get better. But it only gets better if you stick with it, otherwise you will always be reset back to the painful early days of sobriety.
