Saying hello
I'm new to the forum. I have 16 days sober. No triggers yet, moved into sober living, im 43 and I went to my 1st meeting over 20 yrs ago. This is awful at times. Starting over, being a re-tread is discouraging to say the least. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

It took me decades to let go of my addictions, so you're in good company
I think sober living and meetings is a good start. You'll find a lot of support and understanding here too

Hello and welcome in the spirit of sobriety.
And congratulations on your sober time.
There's probably nothing I can tell you that you haven't heard before.
But I will say it took me many attempts to get sober. And I mean many.
And I was about as bad a drunk as you can get at the end.
Meetings helped me immensely. So does coming here.
It's been nine and a half years since this drunk has had a drink.
I wish the same for you, and stick around please.

Welcome, Brand. I'm glad you're here--and congratulations on day 16. Sober living is excellent and meetings are a great idea. I hope you stick around and post often. I've found SR to be of vital help in my sobriety.
