AA - Walking through the door
I need to start going to meetings - my first one will be on Monday.
I know that everybody there will have been in the same boat and will not judge but really nervous!

Not only will no one judge you honey, they will welcome you with love.
Every time another person walks through those doors it is just the most wonderful thing....and we have all (AAs) walked into that first meeting (actually I did this many times) broken and ashamed.
The shame doesn't last long once you are safely inside the doors. You really really know that you are in the right place. With people who care, understand and just want you to get well and find the freedom they are finding.

Good for you Startanew! I just started going to meetings a couple of weeks ago and was totally terrified. Once I got in the door it was fine and everyone is really friendly. I'm sure your experience will be the same. Just take a deep breath and go for it.........then come back here and let us know how it went!

Good for you! I agree with everything Venus said. You’ll be the most important person at the meeting! I was really nervous attending my first meeting as well.
Fortunately, I live in a small town and there were several people I knew in attendance.
I will say this, no matter what meeting I go to be it locally or somewhere else in the U.S. , I’ve felt welcomed
