New Member Relapsed

Hi everyone,
I relapsed last year on 8/8/2017 I had been in Recovery for 3 years after Detox and Rehab. I was on Antabuse and Campral for the cravings all that time. But as soon as I felt strong enough I came off of all alcohol tablets in July last year.
I'm starting Detox for 2 weeks today on my own as it's beginning to get control of me again. I have lost everything and it's making me very depressed again.
I've joined here today to get support to get sober again. Thank you for reading and listening. 😀

Welcome RW! You will certainly find a lot of support here from a community that understands and a great bunch of people to boot! Most of us have had a seat in the relapse train too, I have climbed aboard a few times but all that matters is you keep getting off the train and trying again, that takes strength and courage.

What is your plan to stay sober? What different things are you going to do this time round ? Posting regularly on SR is a great way to keep myself honest and I wouldn’t be where I am today without the support of these lovely folks so you have definitely got one new tool in your arsenal! Keep posting and keep fighting, you can do this xx

You have the right attitude and are starting off on track. Getting rid of the triggers in the house, knowing that you always have support 24/7 when you need a friend, and educating yourself about recovery to be stronger is a great foundation.

Wonderful to have you join us RecoveryWoman. I definitely wouldn't be alcohol free today if I couldn't access the support and wonderful folks here at SR. Good for you for detoxing - proud of you x
