Nothing tonight but gratitude for the four years I've remained sober. It's the kind of gratitude that'll bring you to your knees.
I'll never, ever take it for granted.
I have no flowery words or magic pill that worked for me. Bottom line is that I got out of my own head & put one foot in front of the other...24 hours at a time. Next thing I know, I have 34,944 hours of precious freedom.

This was my theme song in those beginning days 4 years ago. It gave me hope & spurred me on. Now I share with each & every one of you little conquerors.

Congratulations, Hearts, my anniversary twin!
It just feels so much better now.
I think of you often, and am always reminded of your great line that ends "So I straightened my crown and walked away like a boss." I always took great inspiration from that and to this day picture you in a crown!
