We don't regret the past nor wish to shut the door on it

Hey SR!
Thought I'd check in with everyone. It's been kind of a tricky day today. The day started with me noticing that my serpentine belt is slipping off a pulley so i'll have to take my jeep in, then i met a good buddy of mine who told me he had relapsed recently and then i got home to find that my door handle on my jeep is askew. Either someone tried to pull it off or it loosened. I then paused and remembered that everything will be ok as long as i stay sober. These honestly are all luxury problems and i do have the means to take care of or do my best to help the situation.

For some reason i flashed back to when i was living out of my truck and when my money ran low i sat at a gas station and begged for money telling everyone that i was out of gas and needed to get to work. I used the money to buy booze. Pretty bad and still have some shame over that but i have forgiven myself. I think in someways i thought about the person that possibly tried to break into my car and realized that i had been in that same position of desperation just a couple of years ago. Love and tolerance is our code and i should pray for them.

Well i guess that's it. Happy Saturday!
Garrison

Love this quote from the BB. Something which I refer to regularly and how I live my life. Great post.

If you strike me down I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine.

We are a sum of our parts/experiences from these we grow and hone and become better.

Best wishes to you all from the struggling to those that are coasting towards a better future. It's there for the taking👍
