Post relapse: Day 2
Yesterday was a hard-hitting reminder of how terrible alcohol affects my body, mind, and being.
I could feel myself starting to slip into the painful part of withdrawal, but with a little luck, a lot of water, and some unisom, I was able to get some sleep. Now I wake up still a little damaged from the weekend's bender, but I am going to take some time today to really think of and build out a plan.
Part of this next plan is to write and reflect here more than I did in the past. You all are such wonderful sources of help, and I appreciate you.
Here is to getting back on that wagon, and bein 100% committed to staying sober and keeping the boos out of my life. Because shhheeeesshhh, the crippling anxiety of coming off a bender is far too real.
