Dry heaving blood sounds like it needs medical attention to me. I hope you at least phone for advice.
Well done on day 3 - it gets so much easier after the first three days, but I do think you need to get some advice.
Stay strong x

I agree that medical attention is probably a wise move at this point Cris - can you get to the ER?

You made it day to 3 but heaving up blood isn’t good. Please see a doctor and let us know how it turns out.

See a doc.
You aren’t out of the danger zone just yet.
Well done on 3 days
It will get easier

You ability to recover from drinking decreases with age.

You are never going to "bounce back" like you did when you were 20.

What scared me was the thought of not being able to stay sober because of physical addiction. Needing to drink in the morning to stop the shakes is a nasty situation to get into.

Cris - I hope you'll post again & stay with us. It's time to get healthy, & free of alcohol. You can do it.

I can attest that quitting alcohol becomes more difficult with age. Of course there's the kindling effect, but I don't bounce back like I used to from even 5 years ago.

3 days is great. You should start to feel better soon, but please see a doctor about that bleeding and check in to let us know how you are.
