Sober sure is nice!

Can’t start my IOP until week after next. Major business meeting next week I cannot postpone, and it is on a day of therapy. But I am feeling good again.

Isn't IOP about 2-4hrs/day? Not sure what line of work you're in,but unless you're a partner, I doubt they need you there for the meeting(you can brief someone) and weren't you "starting IOP on monday(yesterday)"?

Glad you're back. You have had major challenges and you've handled them like a champ.

IOP is cool. Mine was life-changing.

This is good Horn..i havent been round these parts much recently. Not because i have fallen off the wagon but because life cranked up to full speed and as the title of your threads says "Sober sure is good" I had to google what an IOP was! Thats great news that you are embarking on such a programme. I think we do need help to preserve the condition where it is less likely that a quantum leap is made into that other person controlled by the AV. These patterns and beliefs govern our lives and we have to have another plan because the the one we thought of and used previously, well, we all proved ours didnt work either. An IOP has a great plan. Best wishes Horn. X

Thanks. Re : the IOP. I was advised not to be taking days off. It is 3 hours a day 4 days a week. I have cleared my travel schedule for the month of August.

I wasn't working when I did my IOP. 8 weeks from 4-6pm, earlier on Wednesdays and individual therapy once a week as well.

Missed once.

Worth it. Life changing.
