I’m new to this forum and just thought it might help to hear stories so I don’t feel so alone and very scared. I drink . And have been hiding it for years now as my partner never really liked me drinking as I always had that vibe too many .
So I hid it and now it’s a part of my life . He doesn’t understand as he has he fyrongest willpower ever. Anyway joe found out I was drinking on a family holiday and it ruined it for him and I have pushed him too far I feel. So back on the wagon and day 2 here. Nervous and scared.

Hi Lmag. I think it will really help you to be here with us. We can openly talk about what's going on without being judged or misunderstood.

I was terrified to let go of it. I'd been drinking my whole life - in the end, it was every day. No one knew how much I drank until I became very reckless - it was difficult to hide it. When I came to SR I was instantly less anxious about the whole thing. There are some wonderful people here who want to help. Welcome!

Welcome to SR! I have found incredible support on this site. Spend some time reading around on different t forums. You should also join the July of 2018 class and you will find the support of others who have also decided to get sober this month.
