Healing: pleasant indulgences

1. Today's sunrise

2. Freshly brewed cup of tea or coffee

3. Light & bright conversations with family and friends

Healing found in pleasant indulgences all around me, everywhere I go.

Healing from complex PTSD. Allowing a new acknowledgment of the normalcy of my reactions to triggers. Letting these feelings flow through. Finding, allowing, opening to new good things in my life.

Good things are all around me.

Prayer: Thank you, God, for guidance. Thank you, God, for this life. Thank you, God, for this day.

Looking for God signs. Allowing curiosity and fun to bubble up.

Thank you, God, for this day.

4. Uplifting music

5. Expected good surprises

6. Ice cream

As I'm learning mindfulness and meditation, I'm also learning to expect good surprises each day.

I have a Bible that I love....it's one you can take notes in and it has things to color. If I need to destress, I will borrow my daughter's colored pencils and take about 30 min. to color in it. Even sharpening the pencils gives me a long-forgotten satisfaction. (school memories, perhaps?)

A second indulgence is to just take a moment and go outside to throw the ball with my dog. It doesn't take long doing this to get a serious attitude adjustment of peace and gratitude!
