Happy Canada Day!!

Canada Day is Sunday, July 1st, Happy Canada Day to all my Canadian friends!

It's going to be really hot and humid here, but I'll be hanging out at a local Music Festival.

Happy Canada Day!

I am just sitting on my deck watching the lake, praying I don't have to go into town for anything. Living in cottage country year round teaches you grocery shopping gets done at 8 am. Before the cottages hit.

We are expecting a rainy weekend, but the celebrations will go on!

For me, it will be a long weekend catching up on housework and hobbies

I'm taking my family up into cottage country with my sister and her family for the weekend. I bought a whole bunch of fireworks! It's something I wouldn't have done back when I was drinking, but I saw them and I thought, I used to spend a ridiculous amount of money on beer, so I decided, why not, and dropped a small fortune on them! My kids are stoked haha!

Really good to be sober. It really is. It's going to be a great weekend

Happy Canada Day!

Don't be a hoser Thomas 🤣

We are heading into the city today, tickets for Come From Away. I feel it is a very Canadian way to celebrate. Sure wish I had booked dinner reservations lol. Oh well, can't win em all!

I have fond memories of Canada Day. From childhood up to 6 or 7 years ago. Unfortunately, it is a huge drinking holiday and just reminds me happier times before alcohol took over my life. I just pretend it's just another weekend.

Well, happy to say that today has been pretty reasonable temperature and even sunny!

The Calgary Tower celebrates 50 years old today! My brother and I were the first on our block to visit, what was then, the Husky Tower. Big bragging rights for us, LOL!

It was spectacular. I am so proud to be Canadian! My husband is from the East Coast and we laughed, cried, I don't want to ruin it for you but it went by so fast. 100 minutes, no intermission.
