Day 11, AV started last night

So I played out the scenario of drinking, I would lose my new job, feel awful etc, then it went away after a while, feel much better today, have a good day everyone

Nice job Mum. Sometimes just getting thru is enough. Congrats on day 11.

Just because the music plays, doesn't mean we have to dance.

Those thoughts keep getting easier to dismiss with time, Mummy. Well done.

Very well done. It’ll come back from time to time: the timing might be unexpected, but the fact is returns is not. Tell it no and move on!

Brilliant on 11 days, Mummy. When my AV comes calling I do the same as you--play the tape forward to the horrifying conclusion. If I drank again I truly believe it would mean my death. Hope you're having a good day--tried any yoga yet?

Nicely done, playing the tape through is such an effective tool to have in your recovery toolkit!

I'm sure you feel fantastic today, almost at the two week mark!

I've heard people here say that the thought of drinking is just that, a thought. And thoughts pass. It's the actions on those thoughts that we regret. I think thoughts are much easier to deal with than the consequences if we act on them. This too shall pass. Let it pass. John
