OT: Parakeet entertainment. Only for the easily amused :)

OK...not thrilling entertainment, but still

I have two blue parakeets, Jelly Bean and JuJu Be. Recently, my JuJu Be got his toe caught in a toy in the cage, and it ultimately had to be removed--he is just fine, by the way!

But, he was in a funnel while he healed and could not preen, poor guy

When the funnel came off, he preened and preened and preened until I thought he wouldn't have any feathers left!!

Today I put the bath in their cage, and JuJu went to town!

I am easily amused and often in need of amusement!!
So cute!
I am reading a book right now called "Animal Wise" by Virginia Morell. It is fascinating and explores the latest research on the ways animals and birds, and insects even, communicate and feel.

I love to watch birds take baths; they are so enthusiastic! I have two bird baths for the outside birds at my house and quite often if someone big like a robin has been in there, I have to go replenish the water b/c he has splashed it all over the sidewalk!
