Hi and welcome azsundevil

Yeah it sucked for me too, having to admit it and come to a place like this - but I'm glad I did.

I can trace my getting better to that point

I hope you'll stick around, This is a great community

D

Took me a long time to admit I am an alcoholic. Big time alcoholic. Feels good to say it now but it wasn’t easy.

Hi azsundevil! Yeah, good riddance to that alcohol stuff. I'm running on a year and a half without it now, best decision I ever made. SR can help you quit and stay quit if you take advantage of its resources. Joining the monthly class thread helped me a lot in the early days. Look for the June thread here in the Newcomers area and jump right in, everyone's welcome.

Yeah, it definitely does suck admitting that you’re an alcoholic. People don’t understand. On my journey, with many relapses, it has been an integral part of my recovery.

Good to meet you, azsundevil.

I felt all alone with my addiction until I came here. Everyone understood what I was going through. No one else in my life could relate - they were all social drinkers. We're glad you found us - you can turn this around.

azsundevil admitting the problem takes courage. Be proud of yourself and don't look back. You are going to feel sooooooo much better if you stay the course!
