Afraid of public places.
Please help, 2 years ago this happend, i was drinking heavely that night, the next morning as i was walking in a crowded place. Light headness, shortness of breath suddenly occured to me, this never happend eventhough i was already drinking like 5 years ago from that incident. Ever since, i am afraid of going out, being in a crowded room, thinking it would occur to me again. I thought it will go away but it happens everytime. I have to drink to be normal around people and not trigger that fear.
Hi Ray - welcome
have you considered seeing someone about it - Dr or therapist?
2 years is a long time to suffer with anxiety like this - and if you're like me, drinking will only reinforce the anxiety next time.
I ended up with not only the original anxiety and panic attacks but the anxiety and panic of needing a drink as well.

I have once seen a doctor but it did'nt go away for long. It really effected my daily life as a normal person, i have to cancel important meetings sonetimes. I wake up fine sometimes, and sometimes i have to stay the whole day at home. Thanks, and like what you said 'the need to drink' is exactly what i ended up with till now.
Welcome to the family. What about counseling? I saw a counselor for several years and it was very helpful, not just for my sobriety, but for managing my life in general. I suggest counseling. Might help.
Drinking makes anxiety much worse. My anxiety is all but gone now that I'm sober and my meds work as they should.

Sometimes there's not a medication 'one and done' fix for anxiety or panic attacks.
I have found tho that no longer being a drinker helped immensely.
I'm the least anxious I've ever been in my whole life now
I find breathing exercises can be useful
