Congratulations!

Penn and Teller did a investigation of alcoholism recovery methods in season 2 or 3. They looked at several recovery methods.

For them it boiled down to simply not drinking. Penn has never taken a drink in his life.

They didn't cover my go to consideration of the brain damage booze causes, but regardless it still comes down to deciding to not drink.
