New here. 1 week left detox. Can't wait to be free from Methadone.

Long story short(er), I've tried to stop cold turkey before, when my psychiatrist put me on an antipsychotic named Ziprasidone (Geodon) which gave me "strength" to quit the Methadone.

During those 10 days without the Methadone, I hade insomnia, hallucinations, delirium, and vomit blood clots which led me to the hospital to 7 days. I also had EHS (exploding head syndrome). They put me back on Methadone which made me feel ""normal"" again.

But I felt GREAT to be free! Despite the symptoms! I want that again!

Now I am detoxing at home, guided by my psychiatrist. There's 1 week left, at 5 miligrams now... I feel very anxious to end it and there's bad Sleep Paralysis happening to me every night.

Has anyone gone through similar stuff?

I'm tired of that goddamn numbing sensation of opiates.

And also the Sleep Paralysis, which is terrifying me and I don't know what's causing it...

Anyway... just Hello there!
