Podcasting
Heya wsup,
The last six months I listened to tons of recovery podcasts.
To Some extend They gave me a insights, and I like listening to struggles and how they were overcome.
However,
It seems like 99% of the recovered speakers were like:
- No small kids / They got sober When kids got bigger
- They ALL became life coach
- They all were divorced and remarried or single
This seriously bummed me out and made me question this whole NA / AA thing lately. Luckely Ive been able to distance myself from my own overskeptical ego and I just take what I need from the story’s.
Just a share.

I've benefited from listening to podcasts as well. Sometimes I have to focus on the similarities and not the differences, such as kids, religious beliefs, etc. I'm no statistician, but statistically speaking probably 78.25648% of podcast guests are either currently or about to become life coaches
I'm not sure I've ever listened to a podcast - my brain needs me to be doing 2 things at once.
If I've learned anything tho. it's that recovery means you can be whoever the heck you want to be CC
