Just got 6 months last week. I'm finally starting to feel like I'm thinking clearly. I've surfed twice in the last week, something I didn't do all summer last year bc I was always battling a hang over on warm days or wanted to drink instead. I feel good guys, I'm not trying to brag or anything I know I have a LONG way to go, I just want to encourage someone else. If I can stay sober, anyone can. I live in a party town where drinking during everything is the norm, seriously everything. A friend of mine who recently hit 6 years of sobriety posted a quote "stop living in your head and start living in your heart." This was huge for me to read. And I want to try to keep this in my mind when things get rough, as is life. Anyway, much love to everyone! Sending good vibes to anyone that needs them

Brother i hit 6 months yesterday as well and celebrated with a surf myself. I can seriously relate to this one. I remember multiple days where friends would hit me up for glassoff and i'd choose a 3pack of tall boys instead. Hope youre scoring.
