Revia

Has anyone tried this? And if so thoughts and experiences?

I have an apt in 10 days to talk about revia for my urges as I continue on this path.

Revia is a name brand for naltrexone. Along with most of the other anti-urge/craving drugs, it's designed to be used in conjunction with a solid program of recovery. AKA - there is no "Magic Pill" that will just make your alcoholism go away unfortunately.

A reminder as well that advice regarding prescription medication is not allowed in the forums, only experiences - which should never substitute personal medical advice. Glad to hear you are seeing your doctor about it.

Thanks for the info... and the reminder.

I am seeing a doctor and a therapist. Was t looking for a ‘magic pill’ (although that would be nice.)
I know I have a lot of work ahead of me, and I am ready to do it.

Tons of threads on naltrexone and other anti-alcohol drugs here on the forum worth searching for. Nothing wrong with giving it a go as you can't have too many options on your side to help with the battle.

See what your dr says about the medication. I haven't used it either, so have no advice.
