Grateful
Found my home group AA meeting this morning. Knew it when I walked through the door. Being in my new place and in my new community continues to be an amazing experience... even if my head spins at times.
Thought it appropriate to get back to a few simple things that I am grateful for. Things I'd neglected back when I was a drunk and had myself stuck in the old place, the old rut.
I'm grateful for a clean home.
I'm grateful for fresh ironed clothes.
I'm grateful to be prepared for the week ahead.
I'm grateful for the people I met today in AA.
Not least, I'm grateful for the journey ahead to make AA and my recovery an important piece in how I rebuild relationships and my social & spiritual world. I'm grateful for the meaningfulness in it, the importance of it, and the ability to do so.
Hope all are well and that those struggling can find peace. It's there, don't give up hope.
