Day 3 and struggling

I was going to do a closing shift today, but we didn’t have that many bookings so my manager sent me home earlier. I’m sitting in the staff room right now and I dread to go outside. I’m plagued with drinking thoughts. I just want to go to the shop, get booze and escape this crappy life.

Help!!!!

Thanks Stubbs. I know it’s stupid but it’s so hard. I wish I could just stay in the staff room.

Snufkin you can do this tonight!!!!!
You need to get home and safe sweetheart. As fast and directly as you possibly can. Even if you've just got half a loaf and a pot noodle at home please don't stop at any shops.
I'm settled in for the night so please message me any time.
These weekend evenings are rough I know. The only way to break it is to keep going and it honestly does settle down in time.
I'll be thinking of you all the time until you report back that you're safe and sound and stuffing your face with chocolate!
Go for it girl!!!!!!!!

That's not gonna fix anything.

Get some good food and a movie. Take a long hot shower and put on clean pajamas and sit down with a fluffy blanket.

You have to get through the discomfort of early sobriety to gain the peace and tranquility of a sober life, Snufkin.

It is damn hard! I usually cave after a few days.
Biminiblue is right. We have to go thru the hard days before we can come out on the other side.

Absolutely; don't stop Snufkin; hold your head high and walk straight by.

Early days are so difficult but we HAVE to get through them.

Well done coming here to talk about your feelings.
