Plan
I’m thinking if I’m so dead against going to an in patient rehab then the next best thing is to go to a meeting every single day for 90 days right?
No point in posting self pity. What a silly thing to be pining over an ex that was a waste of time. The reason I’m still thinking of it, is I’m tied to the house until November and she is reaping all the benefit- it’s making me feel stuck

Hey, guys.
Is there anything wrong with just supporting Stew in what he's decided on, 90 meetings in 90 days? I just don't get it. Maybe that's all he can handle right now. I don't know, I just want to give him credit for doing something different.

Not sure what you are talking about. Everybody here has been incredibly supportive of Stew. He has had hundreds of people giving him thousands of posts supporting him. John
I like your Plan to do a 90 in 90, Stewy.
Please go with an open mind and open heart and with 100% willingness and commitment to do whatever it takes.
I hope that you take the time, while there, to observe and assess those there, with the hope of finding a sponsor to guide you through the Steps. Working those steps could so beneficial in helping that total overhaul that you mentioned in another thread.
Looking forward to hearing about your progress, Stewy.

so, to enhance that plan, look up the times/locations of all the meetings you plan to attend and put them in your calendar or print the list and post it somewhere prominently, and then tick off each day's meeting.
you could also have an accountability thread as many do hear, and post to it each day about your commitment.
remember a plan is only as good as the effort put in to make it work.

Let's not post to each other. This is Stewy's thread, so keep your posts focusing on him, please.
Stewy, I think if you can do the meetings as you said, it would be a good start in your recovery.

I do agree that it's a very good plan, but I also feel you need to take one step at a time for any of these proposed plans to work.
You mentioned in a previous thread that you have to change EVERYTHING about your life. You made it sound like there is so much you need to change that you were almost using that 'overwhelming/ It's all too much' factor as an excuse to carry on drinking, when actually the alcohol removal would be the very first step in tackling other issues.
Getting to a meeting each day is honestly a great plan, but by setting the 'I must do 90 out of 90' rule it feels like you're setting a high goal that you can make excuses for failing. Why not set the first goal as just one meeting? Then take on the next, then the next. One step at a time.
If you keep taking one step each day and make 90 meetings that's fantastic. At this moment though I think just getting to that first one will be a massive achievement.

I’ll go through Tomorrow, then I need to go again. It’s steps isn’t it.
I never ask for any extra support or loads of support. I’m not looking for sympathy or any of that nonsense.
Once I’ve cracked this, I’ll be good. I will help others
Surely everyone has been at this point? Like you’re done

Hi Stewy,
Sounds like you've got the start of a good plan. Someone mentioned mapping out the meetings nearby, that would be a good start. Put them into your calendar like you would any other meeting/appointment to help you stay on track.
How was your meeting today? Did you find one for tomorrow yet?

90 in 90 sounds like a fabulous idea, Stewy. Anything it takes to get and stay sober. Just focus on your recovery and make that your absolute priority. Once you become sober a lot of other things will fall into place in a positive way. I'm so glad you're back and I am rooting for you.
