Day 4 Diahorrea

It's my 4th day sober I am feeling mentally better but am suffering from bad diahorrea. Sometimes I think I can't do right for doing wrong. I have just eaten a green salad straight have
My guts turned and I had to spend 20 minutes pooping.
Has anyone else experienced this, have you any advice please?

It happens when you quit drinking. For me after the 3rd or 4th day I was pretty much back to normal then after that I was backed up for 4 or 5 days. Your body will take a little while to reset itself. Stay strong things will get better in due time.

In my experience this is common. It will pass when your body and bowels have stabilized a bit. I'm on day 4 too and have the same thing but I've gotten so used to it, hardly notice it. I struggle a bit with lactose too though so I'm constantly trying to find out what brings it on.

Hopefully someone will have some better advice and as always - if it doesn't get better, see a doctor.

Eat more solid food. Not sure about your diet, but steak,burger,ect..4days of salad will have anyone 'riding' the porcelain pony.

GI issues are common during withdrawls, but if you have concerns please see a medical doctor.

Stay hydrated. Maybe try broth, white rice, white potatoes, toast, saltenes. Bland food. If it continues, see the dr.

I’m also on Day 4. No diarrhea this time, but have had this problem before when I stopped drinking. If you can stomach yogurt it can help your gut settle, esp if it’s high in protein and probiotics. Good luck!

If its concerning you, please see a Dr. If you'd rather not, try and stay hydrated .
If it lasts longer than a few days see a Dr anyway.
