My resolve is only strong when in a hangover where I acted stupidly the night before. Monday I threw all my drink away to I regret doing it.

Re-read the last sentence I just wrote. Should be a horrifying thing to consider. I've certainly considered it about myself.

People like us can't drink. It's as simple as that.

Of course it is. It is/was for all of us. And when the shame lifts and we physically feel better, we think next time will be different. And it never is. Its the same old shame and misery.
