8 1/2 months...
Going on 9 months since I decided to change my relationship with alcohol by removing it from my life. A few things I've noticed.
Best to everyone, thanks for the support.
- Not worrying about driving anywhere at any time is welcome relief.
- Nothing great happens without hard work, we simply have more time and focus to work toward our goals, without tripping over empty bottles.
- Nothing will dramatically improve other than your health, yet good health is the foundation of great outlook.
- Being well rested has new meaning.
- Recognizing the irony in developing a greater sense of confidence through personal resolve in abstinence, versus the chemically induced false confidence alcohol initially yet fleetingly provides is empowering.
- Slowly killing yourself with alcohol is selfish and will only hurt the people who share your love.
Best to everyone, thanks for the support.
