Endeavor

Going on 9 months since I decided to change my relationship with alcohol by removing it from my life. A few things I've noticed.

• Not worrying about driving anywhere at any time is welcome relief.
• Nothing great happens without hard work, we simply have more time and focus to work toward our goals, without tripping over empty bottles.
• Nothing will dramatically improve other than your health, yet good health is the foundation of great outlook.
• Being well rested has new meaning.
• Recognizing the irony in developing a greater sense of confidence through personal resolve in abstinence, versus the chemically induced false confidence alcohol initially yet fleetingly provides is empowering.
• Slowly killing yourself with alcohol is selfish and will only hurt the people who share your love.

Endeavor, 8 and 1/2 months is just FANTASTIC, congratulations. You right, it's nice to get rid of a bunch of unnecessary worries, rootin for ya.
