Need Encouragement- Back at it Day 4

I was previously here, explained that I was sober for 6 years, relapsed in Jan 2017 and cannot seem to find my way back. The most I have stayed sober in a string of time is 60 days, I've done a couple 30 days, 2 weeks... just have NOT stopped completely.

So, I am looking evil in the face and asking my higher power and others to help me. I was hoping, wanting to be a normal drinker again, enjoy a night out, a wine with dinner, and that never happens. I ended up wanting more or drinking alone so no one knows.

So here I am Day 4. I am going to try to post everyday or reply to a thread. Thank you for your support. I have no more chances with my husband, family or work. I need and want to do this.

SurvivorK, we are in the same boat. You should come to the May thread. That's where I plan to get my 30 days back! You have my fullest support

Given you were sober for 6 years, it appears you know how to do it. How did you do it? Sounds like you were in AA. In any event, sending you support!

6 years is amazing. It's clear, as Horn said, you know the how. What do you need now?

The why?

Welcome back, SurvivorK.

Do you have a rock solid plan for sobriety?

It could make all the difference.

I will post a link to a great SR thread on that subject in a minute.

P.S. - As alcoholics, we cannot drink in moderation. All we do is the feed the beast and the beast wins.

Heavens knows I tried!
