Day 26 and my last day before inpatient!

Day 26 my body is feeling good.. my brain, not so good! Today is my last morning to wake up and have plans I have made for the day to be done! Going to get the last few bits (writing paper, pens, envelopes etc) and a few books! Pretty sure I’ll get a few other bits as I look around the shops! Then maby a movie at the cinema and a big burger or something for dinner as my “last supper” lol!

I said goodbye to the kids yesterday as they were going back to there dads! He’s on a super power trip or something at the minute! I had a plan in place for while I was gone and he wasn’t happy about one of the days so gave me an ultimatum saying change it or he will keep them! I couldn’t change it so he said he’s keeping them but not in a nice (I got this) way! He said I won’t get them back when I come home and there will be a solicitors letter waiting for me..

Really not the headspace I wanted to go to treatment in, and part of me knows that no judge will take them off me but he has still managed to worm his way into my head and doubt myself! I need to go in with a clear goal and plan and not go in feeling like I can’t do it!!

It’s already been 26 days! I don’t wake up thinking about alcohol, I’ve been out for dinner a few times and it doesn’t bother me (that much) that I’m not having a glass of wine “sure it would be nice, but I know it’s for the best”!

So tomorrow begins a new chapter of this rollercoaster I’ve come to call life! Part of me is so ready to embrace it and learn all about, well... me!! I’ve a knot on my tummy and racing thoughts going a million miles an hour, some good, some bad, some that I don’t even know why I’m thinking lol!!

On a last note I’d like to thank all of you and this site, in a very special way, you’ve helped me do these 26 days and the encouragement to do “Just one more” on my own! Then I’ll turn it over to a higher power, once I learn the tools to do so! You’re all amazing and keep moving forward and helping each other x!!

Wishing you the best l,oveisallyouneed.
Try not to worry about the ex - words are cheap - he'll probably be busting to give them back when you get out.

I wish you the best too. You have put yourself in a position by staying sober where you can get the best out of the treatment. Pay particular attention to whatever they suggest you do after you are discharged.

26 days is awesome! Take care of yourself first. Everything else will unfold as it should.
