How to change your messaging settings
You can choose settings that will protect you from receiving unwanted private messages and public visitor messages from possible trolls or random members who you don't know well. Choose your contacts carefully.
Go to your User CP on the navigation bar on the top left.
Click the link on the left titled "Edit Options".
You will find these settings.
This forum features a private messaging system, which allows members to send messages to one another privately.
If you do not want to send or receive private messages, you may disable the private messaging system.
Enable Private Messaging Remove check mark here if you don't want to receive any private messages
You may limit the receipt of private messages to just moderators and your contacts. Other members who attempt to send messages to you will be told that you have disabled private messaging.
Receive Private Messages only from Contacts and Moderators Check this to limit messages to only those on your contact list and Moderators or Admin. Be careful who you choose to have as contacts.
This forum features a visitor messaging system that allows members to send messages to one another publicly.
If you do not want to receive visitor messages, you may disable the visitor messaging system.
Enable Visitor Messaging Uncheck this if you don't want to receive any public visitor messages.
You may limit the usage of your visitor messages to just moderators and your contacts.
Limit usage of Visitor Messages to Contacts and Moderators Check this to only receive visitor messages from your contacts or Moderators and Admin.
