Hi Carlingford,
Day 1 for me too. I feel awful emotionally and physically. I wish it were a dream and I wake up. Addiction really sucks. So full of circular conundrums. Drinking makes life uninteresting ....I drink to make life interesting. Drinking makes me feel like I’m healing myself.... drinking is killing me.
I drink because I feel alone.....
Drinking isolates me and makes me alone
I wish you the best. I hope we’ll be congratulating each other often.

Hi CAC1013,
Thanks for reply. I live in Ireland and drinking is a social fabric of life here which makes it more difficult when I have previously quit. Now I must say bye bye to my friends in the pub....it's a matter of saving myself otherwise I will die prematurely from alchol. Good luck too and stay stong. Do you have a plan?

Your last relapse you said you were planning on a meeting, something you had never done before. I assume you meant AA. Did you follow through with that?
My advice, since you are asking, is to start thinking about the stuff you've been avoiding, like AA, because avoiding them, doing this on your own doesn't seem to be cutting it.

Sending encouragement to both of you. Stay close to SR - it will help. We can lend more support if you post before you drink or post when you feel you might cave. SR has talked me out of drinking a few times.
Welcome back to all of you posting on Day One. Sounds like it would be great for all of you to join the April 2018 class, and support each other through those tough beginning days. You can do this , and SR is one great resource, it there are many others as well.
Dee's link about plans would be a great one for all of you as well.

Here is that link to recovery plans.
