Welcome to SR, Barb! Glad you found us!
You will find great support and information here! There is a '24 Hour Recovery Connections' thread that we 'check into' each day where we commit to not drinking for 24 hours! A list is posted of all the members who pledged that day! We take it one day at a time (ODAAT) and the 'milestones' that add up are celebrated!
You mighy also want to join the 'Class of April '18' where others who have just begun their journey post and share. Keep posting and getting acquainted.

Technology is a wonderful thing.
When i got sober and entered recovery
back in 1990, I didn't have access to
the technology like we have today, so
I went to a many a meetings to listen,
learn. absorb and apply my recovery
program to incorporate and live by
on a continuous bases.
Having access to a computer today
allows me to bring what i learned
over the years and share my own
ESH - experiences, strengths and
hopes of what my life was and is like
before, during and after my addiction
to alcohol.
I can join in fellowship with others
right here in my own home and
reach many who are just beginning
their recovery journey or struggling
with their own addiction and give
them hope that if we can stay sober
under all life's circumstances then
so can you.
Tape into all your recovery resources
to insure a strong solid foundation to
live your life upon for many one days
sober ahead of you.
